Teachers who actually teach

Teachers that actually teach? How absurd! It’s your junior or senior year and you’re thinking about which universities to apply to and ultimately which one to attend. There are many prestigious institutions to choose from and many will be worth your time and money, but Brigham Young University is the best choice of all. The professors at other colleges split their time between lecturing and doing research and working in the field while professors here at BYU focus more on teaching and do most of their research in the summertime. Here at BYU you will spend more time with teachers and less time with less experienced teacher's assistants.

  1. The audience is clear and you made a good point and a strong argument but try to think of another reason why BYU is worth their time and money. Maybe add in that lots of teachers teach here because they love it and not because of the money.

  2. I like the topic, but I noticed that it is based on a Logical fallacy, "BYU is the Best of all of them" is totally your opinion and it doesn't have any reasons behind it. Besides, are you trying to say that BYU is the best? I thought that you were trying to say that we have teachers that teach.

  3. Topic is good, but it's not concise. It makes your claim sound weak. Try shortening your topic sentence (i.e. "There are many prestigious and worthwhile institutions to chose from, but what about BYU?"). This would make your first paragraph more powerful and to the point.

  4. I agree with this topic but one things comes to mind; are all BYU teachers like that? Or is it just the teachers in certain classes?

  5. Because you are a BYU student you might want to give a personal example of how the Professors have helped you in your learning.
